SPOTLIGHT: Third House Events

Today, in the Spotlight, we are featuring our friends at Third House Events. Third House Events is made up of two individuals, who are burlesque performers, turned best friends, turned business partners. Oh, where have I heard that story before? Led by Belle Gunz and Jane Doe, Third House is an all encompassing event planning and coordination POWERHOUSE paving way for events all over Little Old Rhode Island.

Third House Events is the production team behind our gallery exhibition, Reclaiming Our Burlesque History: Burlesque in MA and RI. As part of their mission to spread art and events in Providence, RI they are opening the Inspiria Collective in Onelyville, Providence. This new space creates a meeting rendezvous point for artists in the area, and we couldn’t be happier or more grateful to have it make its way into town. We have personally benefited from their Providence Burlesque events, and even when we’re not on stage with them, we are happy to enjoy their burlesque shows from the audience.

I could go on-and-on about them so without further ado, let’s talk about their mission and what they’re up to.

What Makes Their Work Different?

Third House Events has a community-based approach unmatched by other event companies. Because the founders are performers themselves, they know how important it is to honor, build, and nourish community ties. Summed up in their own words, Third House Event’s approach is all in their in-depth hospitality:

“We take our hospitality one step further by considering not only how you and your guests can enjoy your event, but also how this experience enriches your wellbeing beyond the party.

Being strong members of our communities has made us who we are today. When individuals feel supported, the whole village is healthier. We want to help facilitate joyful, transformative events where our clients, along with their families and friends, all feel like they belong.

Whether it’s a kink-friendly event, LGBTQ+ wedding, underground music block party, a niche drag and burlesque show or a whimsical picnic for your dog’s 5th birthday, we can’t wait to make it an unforgettably magical experience”.

Check Out Their Shows

Third House is hosting parties and events all over Providence and Rhode Island as a whole, as well as the Greater Boston Area. Providence has had a bit of a dip in burlesque productions in the post-pandemic years, but Third House is doing the hard work of producing multiple shows to bring it back to life. You can check out their burlesque productions in Rhode Island venues such as The Fete, The Met, Myrtle, AS 220, their very own Inspiria Collective, and other spaces around the state.

Learn more about them at their website here. Or stay up-to-date on events by following them on Instagram.

We at Rhody Q are so grateful for their work in Providence and beyond and can’t say THANK YOU enough for all of their work! XOXO
